Ada Marie Franklin age 85 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away on Thursday October 12, 2023, at Rivers Health Center in Point Pleasant, WV.

Ada was born December 3, 1937 to the late Russell and Georgia Mae (shuford) Ray in Jefferson Co. Kentucky, besides her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Guy Edward Franklin and siblings; Eldora Slaughter, Emanuel Rhea, Alfred Rhea and Curtis Rhea.

Ada worked as a nurses aid at Lakin State Hospital and retired from there as a Nursing Supervisor, she was a very caring woman that loved her family and cared deeply about her community.

She was a member of Paint Creek Baptist Church and was very strong in her faith, she loved to read her Bible and would do so every chance she could.

Ada was a nurse and caregiver by trade but her true love was baking and anyone that was blessed enough to enjoy her famous Homemade Rolls or he Pound Cake would testify the she truly had a gift when it came to baking and everything she baked was done with love and pure joy.

Ada is survived by her daughters; Tonette (Barry) Jackson and Kimberly Raymore siblings; Francis Bridges, Charles (Mary) Rhea and George Rhea and granddaughters; AviElle (Ronnie) Dawson and Adriana Raymore.

There will be a memorial service on Wednesday October 18, 2023 at 1:00 at The Paint Creek Baptist Church in Gallipolis, Oh.
