Adda E. (Donahue) Baker, 77, of Point Pleasant, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Holzer Medical Center. She was a retired nurses aide and had worked at Biggs Dept. Store. She was also a member of Hickory Chapel Church.
Adda was born on January 18, 1933, in Point Pleasant, a daughter to the late Jesse and Emma Louise (Wilson) Donahue. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Jesse Donahue, Jr., Opal Escue, Gretchen Connolly, Garnette Donahue and John Donahue.
Adda is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Steven Wayne Baker, of Point Pleasant, and David and Lisa Baker, of Gallipolis; her daughter, Pamela Roach, of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Hannah Marie Roach and Jacob Harrison Baker; her brother, Walter "Bill" Donahue, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 17, 2010, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Johnny Hayman officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, in Flatrock. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Honoring Adda as pallbearers will be: Toby Turner, Scott Spencer, Ray Clagg, Tony White, Jamie Connolly and Jeremy Connolly.
