Ann Longstaff, beloved mother and grandmother, departed this earth on November 3, 2008 to be with her Lord and Savior.
Ann was born March 31, 1929 in Scotland. She came to America in 1949 and married T. Hylton Longstaff of Wheeling, West Virginia on August 25, 1951.
Ann was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Point Pleasant, West Virginia where she resided until 2006. She was an active volunteer at Holzer Medical Center, where she donated her time and hand-made sweaters, hats and booties for newborns. She enjoyed antiques, quilting, knitting and being with family and friends.
For the last two years, Ann resided in Vienna, West Virginia and at Cedar Grove Personal Care in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Here, she was closer to her daughter, Rebecca Ann Nigh, and her two grandchildren, Jessica Ann Nigh and James Hylton Nigh, of Vienna, West Virginia. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, T. Hylton Longstaff.
A Memorial Celebration of Ann's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Main Street Baptist Church, 1100 Main Street Point Pleasant, with Dr. Richard Sargent and Reverend Tim Allen, officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens, Route 62 North, near Point Pleasant. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
