Anna Lea Barrett age 76 of Leon, WV passed away Thursday April 12, 2018 at CAMC Memorial in South Charleston, WV.

Anne was born September 30, 1941 to the late Augustus and Martha Lilllie (Nelson) Sowards in Myra, WV. She met and married Cleo Luther Barrett and the two began a family together. Anna was a loving hard working wife and mother that not only worked and retired from Knights Industries as a quality control inspector but was the leader of her family she was the definition of a Matriarch when it came to matters of her family.

She is survived by her loving daughter; Sherrie Lynn (David) Taylor and son; Jason Scott (Freda) Barrett grandchildren; Joseph, Amanda, Christopher, Rebecca, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Jessica, and Rachel Bree. Great-grandchildren; Kimberly, Isaiah, Noah, Anna'Lynn, Crystal, Alexa, Brian, Mason, Aryanna, Levi, Dyon and Brianna. One brother, Gene and a host of family and friends that will deeply miss her.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Husband Cleo Luther Barrett, a daughter; Melissa Hodge, brothers Paul and Charles, and her sister, Ellen.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Crow-Hussell Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 11-1 with funeral service officiated by Pastor Roger Ross beginning at 1:00 PM.
