Anna L. Mead, age 86 of Henderson, WV passed away peacefully Saturday morning August 10, 2019 at her home in Hartford surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 6, 1933 in Gallipolis, Oh and enjoyed working in her flower garden and watching birds and butterflies from her front porch and in the peaceful settings at her son's home in Hartford, WV.

She worked in a variety of positions throughout her life: waitress, restaurant manager, Certified Nursing Assistant and as the Office Manager/Assistant to Dr. Mel. P. Simon when she retired. She took great pride in raising her four children and lived life with no regrets.

She was preceded in death by her parents Pearl H. Edna M. DeVault, brother Bob Shiflet, sisters Rosie(Teenie) Lane, Jean Radcliffe and Hilda Nibert, great grandson John James McBee and her lifelong companion, Eli "Mousie" Siders.

Anna is survived by her children; Daniel (Luba) Mead, Jeffery (Lisa) Mead, Teresa (Gary) Schwartz, and Phillip (Barbara) Mead; grandchildren Annie (Cliff) Lear, Jade Gardin, Katrina (Craig) Wolfe, Mary (Neil) McBee and Shane Sipple: great grandchildren Mariah, Nicholas, and Christian HIll, Lilly Lear, Colton Mead, Dylan Thomas, Koa and Keanu Wolfe, Brooke (Trevon) McHansen, Jillian Chittum as well as a number of extended family great grandchildren; sisters Margaret Haskins and Nancy Fields, brother John Dray and a host of nieces , nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Anna's care has been entrusted to Crow-Hussell Funeral Home and all services will be private keeping with Anna's wishes.
