Archie Whitt, Jr., 77, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Cabell-Huntington Hospital, with his family at his side. He was retired from Century Aluminum and was a veteran of the National Guard. He was born December 1, 1939, in Mason County, a son to the late Archie T., Sr. and Ida (Jones) Whitt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Whitt.

Archie is survived by his loving wife, Betty (Chandler) Whitt; his children and their spouses, Jeff and Tresha Saunders, Lorrie and Keith Wright, Michael and Inez Whitt, Tina Whitt and Mark and Julia Whitt; step-children and their spouses, Michael Wamsley, Johnnie and Sherry Wamsley, Azel and Mary Wamsley and Michelle and Chris Burris; grandchildren, Brandan, Tiffany, Ethan, Emma, Levi, Tayyler, Micah, Peyton, Brady and Sydnee; step-grandchildren, Garrett, Cameron, Travis, Austin, Chandler, Chloe, Taylor, Hunter, Christopher, Hannah and Zach and special granddaughter, Lisa Burris; and great-grandchildren, Tuesday, Lonnie, Gio, Summer, Gracelynn, Ryder and Reese.
