Barbara Ann (Abbott) Bechtle age 72 of Gallipolis, Oh. passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 19, 2024, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.

Barbara was born July 30, 1951, to the late Everrett Charles Abbott and Cora Melba Donally Abbott in Mason Co. WV. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by 4 brothers and one sister.

Barbara was a beloved mother and grandmother who enjoyed life and had a smile that would light up the room.

She spent her younger years working at Harris Steakhouse until she realized her true calling was to be at home raising her children and keeping a loving home.

She loved her family and enjoyed her times with them she was an animal lover and loved the water there wasn't a waterhole that she was not ready to swim in, when weather was not swimmer friendly, she enjoyed watching the Twilight Saga and just traveling around to see new places and things.

Barbara leaves behind her children; Clifford Zeke Bechtle, Georgianna Marie Bechtle and William Gilbert Bechtle, one sister Elva Cotton her grandchildren; Dillon, Morgan, Chance and Chloe Bechtle along with several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a kind loving spirit that will be missed by all that knew her.
