Barbara Ann (Johnson) Brown, age 73, of Point Pleasant, was ushered into the presence of her Lord and her Husband Jim, on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and had previously been a Councilwoman for the City of Point Pleasant. She was also a longtime employee of Shaw and Shaw Law Offices.

Barbara was born November 22, 1940, in Point Pleasant, a daughter to the late Robert and Anna Lee (Miller) Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James F. "Jim" Brown; and her niece, Lea Mae (Miller) Cochenour.

Barbara is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia "Patty" and Warren "Sonny" Miller, of Point Pleasant; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Mary Johnson, of Argalite, KY; nieces and nephews, Chad and B.J. Johnson, Tiffany Johnson and Roger Buttrick and Deanna and Jeff McCarty; several great-nieces and nephews; and her godchildren, Trace Hartley and Brianne Klone.

Barbara's life will be remembered at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, January 10, 2014, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastors Carl F. Swisher, Bob Patterson and John Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
