Barry Lee Casto, age 62, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Tuesday,
September 17 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was born October 2, 1950, to his parents Carroll Watson "Shake" and
Marilyn Shirley "Terry" Casto of Point Pleasant. Barry graduated from Point
Pleasant High School in 1968 before earning a B.A. in Political Science from
West Virginia University in 1972, and a JD from Ohio Northern University in
1976.
Barry was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, the American Legion, and the
Moose. He was also past president and member of the local Rotary club. He
practiced law with Casto & Casto LLC from 1979 to the present and was a member
of the Mason County Bar Association.
Barry loved sports, especially soccer, and enjoyed cheering on the PPHS High
School team. He had become an avid fisherman over the past decade. He cherished
his time outdoors and his time with family and friends.
Barry was preceded in death by his father, Carroll W. Casto. He is survived
by his wife Pamela; his mother Terry; children Geoffrey (Heather) of Hyde Park,
NY, Erin (Andy) of Baltimore, MD, and Christopher (Brittany) of Kalamazoo, MI;
grandchildren Zack and Alek of Hyde Park, NY; brother Gregg of Point Pleasant,
six nephews, and a host of friends and family who will miss him dearly.
Per Barry's wishes, friends and family are welcome to gather at Village Pizza
Inn from 6-9pm on Thursday, September 19 to share remembrances. In lieu of
flowers, donations can be made to PPHS Boys Soccer and sent c/o Deana Sterling,
7370 Sandhill Road, Point Pleasant, WV 25550.
