Obituary

Betty Louise (Cromley) Lear, 71, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, died Tuesday morning, July 7, 2009, at the Pleasant Valley Rehabilitation Center, Point Pleasant. She was a homemaker and a member of Main Street Baptist Church. She was a friend to many and never knew a stranger.

Betty was born September 14, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Edward A. and Macy V. (Cooper) Cromley, II. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Edward Cromley, III.

Betty is survived by her husband, Clifford Eugene Lear of Gallipolis Ferry; two daughters and one son-in-law, Genia Campbell and Lisa (Jay) Roush, both of Gallipolis Ferry; one son and daughter-in-law, Clifford (Annie) Lear of Point Pleasant; one sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie (Robert) Klein of Huntington, WV; one brother and two sister-in-laws, Robert (Roberta) Cromley and Doris Cromley all of Point Pleasant ; six grandchildren, Edward Campbell, II., and his wife, Kelly, Hayley Roush, Mariah Hill, Nick Hill, Christian Hill and Lilly Lear and a great grandson, James Campbell along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with Reverend Annetta Durst and Pastor Robert L. Patterson, II., officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Flatrock, WV. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 6 until 8 P.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2009.
