Betty Jo (Williamson) Simpkins, 59, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday evening, September 10, 2014, at her home, with her family at her side. She was a riverboat cook with American Electric Power. Betty Jo was born on November 7, 1955, in Southside, a daughter to the late Roy and Virginia (Myers) Williamson Love.

Betty Jo is survived by her husband, Bill Simpkins; two children and their spouses, Paula and Randy Birchfield, of Gallipolis Ferry and Billy and Janet Simpkins, of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Brandon and Nikki Roush, Jessica Simpkins and Kaitlyn Simpkins; great-grandchildren, Havin, Brynn and Bralee Roush; brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Dale Lou Williamson, of Southside and Sharon and Joseph Antal, Jr., of Point Pleasant.

Betty's life will be remembered at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 13, 2014, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Carl "Boxer" Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, New Haven. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
