Beulah Belle (Houck) Mitchell, 87, of Gallipolis, OH, went to be in the presence of her Lord, on Friday morning, March 19, 2010, at the Holzer Assisted Living, in Gallipolis. She was a member of the First Church of God, in Point Pleasant and she and her husband John owned and operated Mitchell's Grocery and Service Station, in Rodney, for many years.

Born October 5, 1922, in Gallipolis, she was a daughter of the late Mason and Verna (Wallace) Houck. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Mitchell; her son, Stephen Mitchell; her daughter, Rebecca Mitchell and several brothers.

She is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Noah Dale and Marcella Houck, of Gallipolis and Ben and Betty Houck, of Ironton; and special friends, whom she loved as her own children, Pastor Carl and Yvonne Swisher, of Point Pleasant.

Beulah Belle's life will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010, at the First Church of God, in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Carl Swisher and Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, in Mercerville. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God Building Fund, c/o First Church of God, 2401 Jefferson Ave., Point Pleasant, WV, 25550.
