Carolyn Sue (Villars) Walker, 57, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away on February 4, 2017 at Pleasant Valley Hospital.

Carolyn was a member of the Sand Hill Road Church of Christ. For the past 37 years, Carolyn has worked with many different children through the Mason County Head Start Program, French City Child Care Center, and babysitting in her home. She was an active member of her community and viewed as a second mother ("Momma Walker") to many. Always welcoming others into her home and heart, her love for those around her was easily seen through her gracious spirit. Carolyn was a beautiful, Christian woman who showed this love to everyone she met.

Carolyn was married to her husband and best friend, Richard Walker, for 37 amazing years. They were married on August 10, 1979. She is survived by her husband and three children: Kevin (Jamie) Walker, Stephen (Erika) Walker, and Jennifer Walker. Her greatest joy in life was being "Grammy" to her four beautiful grandchildren: Hallie, Avery, Will, and Macy Walker.
She was born on October 21, 1959 in Milton, WV to William "Berk" and Yvonne Villars. Along with her parents, husband, children, and grandchildren, she is also survived by her sisters: Diane (Phillip) DeHainaut and Della (Jerry) Armstrong, and her brothers and sisters in-law: Lynne (Pobbie) Quinto, Barbara (Paul) Saunders, Jim (Carol) Walker, and Patty (Chris) Mullins. She was blessed with many wonderful nieces and nephews throughout the years. Finally, she is survived by a loving community of dear friends, including special friends Deron, Missy, Katherine, and Sarah Deem.

Through the years Carolyn could often be found rocking her children, grandchildren, and many other children to sleep singing "You are My Sunshine". She will always be remembered as a ray of sunshine to all who knew her, and her light will continue to be seen in the lives of those she touched. She will forever be missed.

Services honoring her life will be at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV. The visitation will be Thursday, February 9th from 5-8 pm, and the funeral will be Friday, February 10th at 11:00 am. Graveside services will follow at Valley View Memorial Park in Hurricane, WV at 1:30 pm.
