Catherine (Hart) Deweese, age 75, of Leon, entered Heaven's gates on Friday, April 29, 2016, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. She was a homemaker and was a member of Harvey Chapel Church and enjoyed going to Gospel Sings all over the county. She was born April 9, 1941, in Leon, a daughter to the late Floyd and Ida (Donahue) Hart. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Gerrell Deweese; granddaughter, Macy Lynn Gandee; mother and father-in-law, Harry and Pearl Deweese; brothers, Wally (Imogene) Hart and Jack (Gladys) Hart; sisters, Famous Hart, Doris (Chick) Crump, Lillian (John) Pierson, Olive (Roy) Pearson; and Geraldine (Pete) Blessing

Catherine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Keith Gandee, of Leon; son, Jerry Deweese, of Leon; grandchildren, Seth and Sarah Gandee and Nathaniel and Tristan Deweese; sister, Lizzie (Johnny) Beagle; brother, Allen (Merlie) Hart; special nephew, Sampy (Dottie) Hart; sisters-in-law, Linda (Earkie) Matheny) and Geraldine (Lawrence) Rice; and brothers-in-law, Milliard "Ham" Deweese, Jerome (Judy) Deweese and Warren Deweese.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thomas Ridge Road. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday.
