Charles Ray "Bubby" Denny, 31, of Pt. Pleasant departed this life on October 3, 2009, as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born July 15, 1978, in Gallia Co, OH, to Charles W Denny and Carolyn Sue Chapman Denny. Bubby was employed as a deckhand for AEP based out of Cape Girardeau, MO. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Buddy and Ilene Chapman; paternal grandfather, Charles J. Denny and his best friend and brother-in-law, J.L. McCoy. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Chase Ray Denny of Pt. Pleasant, who was his world; sister and best friend, April Denny-McCoy, of Henderson; paternal grandmother Genevieve Williams of Gallipolis, OH; niece and nephew, Anniston Noel and Tyler Jay Swisher of Pt. Pleasant; former wife, Brook Kapp, of Point Pleasant; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends. Bubby will be deeply missed by all who knew him. There was never a dull moment with him around. He had the ability to make anyone laugh in the darkest moments. He was a die-hard New York Yankees fan and WV Mountaineer fan. He loved to golf but more than anything in this world he loved his family.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday evening, October 15, 2009, from 5pm-8pm at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home in Pt Pleasant. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 16, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Marshall Bonecutter officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens.
