Charles Franklin Perry Jr. We regretfully announce the passing of Charlie, age 66, on September 20, 2023, in Point Pleasant, WV. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. He was born on September 20, 1957 in Montgomery, WV. Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Charles Franklin Perry Sr., His mother, Betty Sue Dunbar Perry, Sister, Mary Jane Perry-Stafford, Grandmother, Betty Dunbar Schoolcraft, Grandparents, Clarence & Mildred Perry, Great Grandparents, Raymond & Cecil Walker, and nephew, Steven Perry.
He is survived by many loving family members, his daughter, Carly Jo Perry-Rogers (Marty) and son Seth Richard Perry (Dessy), Grandchildren, Kenton Howard Scott Carr, Emerson Raen Perry, and Cameron, Aiden and John Byer, Sisters and brothers, Jean Ann Perry-Bevins, Danny Ray Perry, David Wayne Perry and Lynn Marie Perry-Carter. Former wives Martha Niles-Perry, and Leisa Perry-Wedge. Along with brother in-laws, sister in-laws, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
Charlie Graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 1976. He was inducted into the Point Pleasant Hall of Fame for his football accomplishments and he attended Marshall University where he was the punter for the Thundering Herd Football team. He had many passions that he enjoyed throughout his life including volunteering with the Point Pleasant Wrestling program of all ages, and loved hunting and fishing. Also, anyone that knew him well, knew his biggest passion was going antiquing, bottle collecting and selling.
The family is holding a Memorial in his honor at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home in Point Pleasant WV, with Pastor Bob Patterson and Rev. Joe Nott officiating. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Letart, WV. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 until 2:00. In lieu of flowers, due to the unexpected passing of Charlie, the family is requesting donations be made to Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, in Point Pleasant, WV, to offset funeral expenses. The family appreciates your love and support at this difficult time.
Charlie you will be forever loved and remembered by all. Exodus 23:20 "See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared."
