Christa Belle (Mayes) McDaniel, 80, of Pickerington, Ohio, and formerly of Point Pleasant, died, Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at Echo Manor Extended Care in Pickerington, Ohio. She was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ, retired from GC Murphy in Point Pleasant, had worked at Central Elementary School in the library as a foster-grandparent and was a member of the Point Pleasant Moose Club.

Born, January 8, 1927, in Henderson, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Lula (Casey) Mayes. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Harrison McDaniel and a brother, Charles Mayes.

She is survived by one son, Chris Edward McDaniel of Point Pleasant and one daughter and son-in-law, Della and Marlin Lear of Pickerington, Ohio.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, near Point Pleasant, with Robert L. Patterson, II., officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2007, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Point Pleasant.
