Comella Faye Woods, 70, of Gallipolis Ferry, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at her home, after a long illness. Comella was born March 28, 1940, in Hogsett, a daughter to the late Earl and Lucy Stover, of Gallipolis Ferry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Era Michelle Woods and Lisa Mae Thompson; and her grandson, Jonathan Woods.

Comella is survived by her husband, Hugh W. "Pete" Woods, with whom they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on January 9, 2010; four children, Mark and Diane Woods, of Gallipolis Ferry, Carol and Tim Litchfield, of New Haven, Cindy and Mark Neal and Woodie and Tammy Woods, all of Gallipolis Ferry; a son-in-law, Greg Thompson of Point Pleasant; nine grandchildren, Thaddeus Thompson, of Point Pleasant, Samantha and Tim Hall and Matthew and Josh Woods, all of Gallipolis Ferry, Lucas Litchfield, of Mason, Jesse Litchfield, of New Haven, Danielle and Brittany Neal and Christian Woods, all of Gallipolis Ferry; and four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2010, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Patricia Henson and Tammy Woods officiating. Burial will follow in Beale Chapel Cemetery, Apple Grove. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, June 3rd, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
