Obituary

Connie Jo (Hickman) Hussell, 83, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, peacefully entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, following a long illness. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud granny and great-granny, and the heart of her family.

Born on June 2, 1943, Connie was the daughter of the late Brady R. Hickman and Margaret Lynn (Durst) Hickman Hesson. She was welcomed into heaven by the love of her life and husband of 62 years, Edward J. Hussell; her beloved daughters, Donna Ann Hussell and Darlene Jane Hussell; her grandson, Craig Mayes; and her cherished fur baby, Muffin.

Connie's greatest joy in life was her family. She leaves behind her daughters, Debbie (Bill) Hall and Deana (Lewis) Marcum; her granddaughter, Danielle Marcum; her grandson, Ethan Marcum and his fiancée, Kaylana Slater; her great-grandson, David Marcum; her step-greatgrandchildren, Jace, Amiah, Remi, Kyan, and Rowan Deweese; and her faithful companion, Daisy. Her family meant everything to her, and the love she had for them was evident in all she did.

Connie found happiness in life's simple blessings. She loved coloring Bible pictures on her cell phone, taking family beach vacations, and spending time with those she loved. She especially treasured every opportunity to watch her grandchildren grow, never missing a game, school event, or special occasion. Music also held a special place in her heart, and she loved singing her favorite songs, "God on the Mountain" and "She Loved."

Connie's faith and her love for her family guided the way she lived. She will be remembered through the many memories she created, the values she passed on, and the lasting love she leaves with her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and reunited with those who went before her.

There will be a graveside service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Joe Nott officiating. There will be no visitation. You may offer condolences to the family via this webpage.
