Dale Randall McCarthy Sr., 72 of Point Pleasant, WV went to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 21, 2021 at Camden Clark Hospital. He was born November 4, 1948 in Gallagher, WV to the late Clarence and Bessie McCarthy. Dale was a retired coal miner and electrician by trade. He was a hero, a best friend, and in the eye's of his children "the answer to everything". He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a valued gift to all that met him. He had a love for all people and especially for his dogs. He was the youngest of fifteen and believed life's greatest gift was "family". In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by grandson Christopher Dale McCarthy, six sisters and seven brothers. Leaving behind sister Bessie Smith.

He is also survived by his beloved Susan McCarthy; Daughter, Dalena Smith (Kevin); Sons, Vernon McCarthy (Kristy), Timothy Miles-McCarthy (Rick), William McCarthy, Dale McCarthy Jr., (Tonya); Grandchildren, Sabreanna, Alexis, Ethan, Nikki, Kasey, Morgan, Molly, Lainey, Atalie, Dakota, Ashley, Kylee, Mitchell, Camie, Jessica, Sydney, and Jena; Great-grandchildren, Aiden and Carson; Special sister-in-law, Gloria McCarthy; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Polley officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunrise Memory Gardens, Letart.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m., until the time of the service.
