Darrell Darres "Bub" Craig, 73, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2011, at his home. He attended Good Shepherd U.M.C.; had worked as a conductor for the railroad (New York Central, Penn Central and Conrail) and had retired after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #19; was an avid hunter and traveler, having visited 47 of the 50 states and 2 countries.

He was born, September 19, 1937, to the late Clinton and Lottie (Beckner) Craig, in Cabin Creek, WV. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Mark Craig and one sister, Marilyn Crump.

He is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Linda (Plants) Craig; a son and daughter-in-law, James Darres (Juanita) Craig and a daughter and son-in-law, Lois Ann (David) McBeath; his grandchildren, Ryan Craig, Austin, Darrell and Leila McBeath; his brothers and their wives, Barton "Tat" (Janet) Craig, Paul (Sue) Craig, Wendell (Ruby) Craig, and Clinton Daniel (Wilma) Craig; his sisters and their husbands, Evadene (Paul) Buck, Gail (Burdell) Buck, Joann Craig, Darlena (Taylor) Kirk, and Ernie Ruth Plante, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Mathew Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Flatrock, WV, where Masonic Graveside Rites will be held by Minturn Lodge #19 A.F. and A.M.. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2011.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Shepherd U.M.C. or American Heart Association.
