David L. Hereford, 50, of Henderson, went to be with the Lord at his home in Henderson on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. David was born May 24, 1963, to the late John and Betty Hereford.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Hereford, of Henderson; two sons, Brent Hereford (Chelsea Hereford), of Gallipolis Ferry, and Josh Hereford, of Henderson; two sisters, Andrea Baker, of Point Pleasant, and Margret Oesterreicher (Eddie Oesterreicher), of Charleston; one brother, John Hereford (Mary Hereford), of Eleanor; one dog, Spot Hereford; many nieces, nephews and cousins; two special nieces, Emillee and Makenzzee Griffin; and friend Shawn Foglesong.
David was a member of the Point of Faith Church in Point Pleasant. He was actively involved in coaching and volunteering in the Point Pleasant wrestling community for 22 years. He also contributed to the development of the Mason County youth wrestling team. In his free time, David enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys. He also enjoyed going out on date night with his wife. He was a proud father and coach of two West Virginia state wrestling champions. David will be sadly missed by many friends, family and wrestlers.
Pastor Anthony Toler will be officiating the service at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home. Friends may visit prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
