David L. Leport age 56 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away Thursday July 15, 2021 while in The Arbors of Marietta in Marietta , Oh.

David is preceded in death by his father; Clifford L. Leport and a sister Monica.

HE grew up in the Henderson area running and playing in the woods, streets and creeks with his brothers and sisters, once he married and had children of his own he went to work on the river working his way the title of engineer as that was his last position held with Campbell's Transportation.

David loved his family and when not on the river or spending time with them you could find him doing the things that brought him the most joy; he would be hunting and fishing, the rain, cold or heat could not stop him from hitting the woods or the waterside, it didn't matter if he came back loaded down or completely empty to David it was always a good day at what he loved.

David is survived by his mother; Phyllis Leonard Leport, children; William (Max) Leport and Jesslayn Leport, sibblings; Butch (Angie) Leport, Debbie (Ray) Pope, Steve(Faith) Leport    and Denny (Roni) Leport.

There will be a funeral memorial service for David on Monday July 19, 2021 at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home beginning at 6:00 PM burial will follow at Henderson Cemetery at the families convenience.
