Obituary

Deborah Lynn (Brennan) Painter, 71, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at St. Mary's Medical Center, in Huntington. She was retired from the Mason County Board of Education, where she taught for 36 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Born August 25, 1953, in Logan, WV, she was a daughter of the late John P. and Opal M. (Glass) Brennan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Painter and a brother, John Brennan.

Deborah is survived by her son, Fred Painter, of South Charleston; daughter, Erin Painter, of Bidwell, OH; grandchildren, Hannah, Johnathan and Nicholas Painter, Christopher Daniels, Alexus Michael, and Natalie Holmes; great-grandchildren, Pazleigh, Josie, Briley, Sebastian, Cameron, Carter, Oliver, and Salem; sisters, Saundra (Eric) Simpson, Patricia (Albert) Butto, Kathleen (John) Richards, Lana (Leo) Reister, and Teresa (Jeff) Brown.

There will be a funeral service at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service. You may offer condolences to the family via this webpage.
