Dixie L. (Fisher) Lilly, age 67, of Point Pleasant, went to be with her Lord and Savior and her daughter Charlie, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at Grant Medical Center, in Columbus. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Church of God, where she was active in the kitchen ministry and other ministries within the church. Dixie was born on May 7, 1947, in Point Pleasant, a daughter to the late Roy and Dorothy (Hogsett) Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Shirley Lilly and Angela Dawn "Charlie" Lilly Peaytt; and her sister, Winna Lee Bonecutter.
Dixie is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Wendy Lilly and Jackie and Jimmy Stewart, all of Point Pleasant; son, Eugene Lilly, of Point Pleasant; granddaughters, Amanda and John Godwin and Rachel Stewart; grandsons, Dustin and Heather Peaytt and Gage Peaytt; sisters, Sandra Willet, of Point Pleasant and Sierra Sue Lynch, of Indiana; and a host of friends and church family who love her and will miss her.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2015, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, near Point Pleasant. There will be a Celebration of Dixie's life at 11:30 a.m., immediately following the graveside service, at the First Church of God, in Point Pleasant, with Pastors Bob Patterson and Carl Swisher officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to the Angela "Charlie" Lilly Scholarship Foundation, P.O. Box 1762, Parkersburg, WV 26102-1762.
