Donald Larry Stephens was born December 6, 1941 in Delray, Michigan. The only child of Donald Alvin Stephens and Gladys Valeta (Henry) Stephens.  Larry grew up in Ecorse, Michigan. He graduated from Ecorse High School in 1960.   He retired from the Detroit Marine Terminalse after 29 years of excellent employment in 2003. Larry had many dear friends and coworkers during his lifetime. Larry was an extremely charitable person donating to numerous charities and his time to many individuals.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Gladys (Henry) Stephens, Paternal Grandparents Charles Stephens and Willa (Durst) Stephens, Uncles Lloyd Stephens and Ross Stephens, Aunts Elva McDermott, Lena Keefer, and Vera Edwards, Maternal Grandparents Joseph Augustus Henry and Bertha Catherine (Lambert) Henry, Uncle Eugene Henry and Aunts Hazel Mayes, Dorothy Keim, Bessie Blankenship, and Vera Hedwall. Larry will be greatly missed by many cousins, friends, and coworkers who loved him very much.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 26, 2021, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating, where Larry will be buried next to his parents at Bethel Cemetery in Leon, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers friends are requested to donate to a charity of choice.  Crow-Hussell Funeral Home is caring for the Stephens family.
