Obituary

Dorothy Marie (Price) Watson, 83, of Point Pleasant, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother entered heaven from Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, on April 29, 2011, after a long illness. She attended the First Church of God and was formerly employed by Gene Ball's Restaurant and Fruth Pharmacy. She enjoyed many trips with her late husband, Bob Watson and loved cooking and spending time with her family. Family gatherings were not complete without "Mamaw" Watson. Fond memories are not sufficient to describe the feelings that she left her loved ones for she was loved and will be greatly missed.

Dorothy was born on April 6, 1928, in Mason County, a daughter to the late John and Cora (Nibert) Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Garland L. Messick and Robert H. Watson; and her brother, Leo Price.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Chester Plants, of Point Pleasant; her grandsons and their wives, Bob and Jeanna Plants, of Canal Fulton, OH, Drs. Brian and Betsy Plants, of Charleston, Matt and Traci Plants, of Charleston and Mark and Allison Plants, of Charleston; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Matt Muller, of Maryland, Robbie, of Canal Fulton, OH, Rachel, Jason, Luke, Peyton, Grant, Abby, Grace and Hannah Plants, all of Charleston.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene Price, William Price, Marlin and Phyliss Price, Doug and Carol Price, Harvey and June Price and Kenneth and Loretta Price; and her sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and Jim Edmonds and Betty Simpkins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to the First Church of God Building Fund, 2401 Jefferson Ave., Point Pleasant, WV, 25550.
