Dorsel Franklin Russell, born May 15, 1929, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022. Dorsel retired from the railroad.  Dorsel was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Russell, of Carey, OH; parents, Vada Wagner and Manuel Russell; grandson, Cody McGuire; two brothers, Woodrow Russell and Clyde Russell; sister, Mona Smith; great-grandson, Nick McGuire; and his beloved poodle dog, Angelo.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathy McGuire, of New Haven, Marilyn and Henry Fetty, of Point Pleasant; two sons, David and Trisha Russell, of New Haven, and Randy and Lisa Russell, of Vinton, OH; grandson, Shawn McGuire and Christopher Young; granddaughters, Tresa Gibbs and Katrina Cottrill; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and ex-wife, Josephine Rhoades.

There will be a graveside service and burial at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Bethel Cemetery, in Leon, WV, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating.  You may offer condolences to the family via this webpage.
