Douglas Arthur Gheen, age 54 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away Sunday November 9, 2014 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH.

Doug was born July 27, 1960 in Wheeling, WV the son to Arthur and his late wife Etta (Morris) Gheen. He was a 1978 Graduate of Point Pleasant High School, after graduation Doug attended Marshall University and graduated with a B.A. in 1982.

Doug was not finished with his education as he was a 1992 graduate of St. Mary's School of Radiologic Technology and a 1994 graduate of The Ohio State University in Radiation Therapy. Upon graduation he became licensed as a Radiation Therapist in five states and worked for RT Temps traveling and working in all 5 states in which he was licensed.

Doug was a member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, The American Society of Radiologic Technologists, The American Heart Association Healthcare Providers, Sons of the American Legion Post #23, The USO Sponsoring Member, and The American Red Cross Supporter.

Besides his mother, Doug is preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Gheen, he leaves behind his Father; Arthur Gheen, sister; Linda Gheen, nephew; Jeremy (Nikki) Harrison, niece; Leeza Ferguson, his Uncle Orville Gheen, and two aunts.

Services for Doug have been entrusted to Crow-Hussell Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, visitation will be Friday November 14, 2014 from 2-3 PM with a funeral service beginning at 3. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens.
