Douglas Lee Pierson, 75 of Point Pleasant, WV passed peacefully into his eternal home on May 3, 2025, at Holzer Hospital.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, William "John" and Lillian (Hart) Pierson; Brothers: Scotty (Kay) Pierson and Willard Pierson; brother-in-law Allen Sayre and Jimmy Douglas and his mother and father-in-law Carol and Anna Louise Durst along with a sister-in-law Carolyn Davis and many other friends and family. He was looking forward to reuniting with them one day in Heaven. Shortly after Douglas's passing, his beloved sister, Violet Douglas departed this world. We can find comfort in knowing that he is forever with those that he loved, once again.

Douglas leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Juanita Pierson of Point Pleasant. Daughters: Clara (Chad) Brown of Point Pleasant, Katie (Danny) Blazer of Mount Alto. Grandchildren: Celena Brown, Chevy Hall, Noland and Dawn Blazer. He also leaves behind sisters: Velva Pierson of Leon, and Juanita Sayre of Racine, Ohio.  Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Douglas worked in the coal mines in WV, the State Road Garage, and was the co-owner of Pierson Brother's Sporting Goods in Point Pleasant, for over twenty years with his brother Willard. He enjoyed working on the family farm in Leon, until his health would not permit him to do so any longer. He enjoyed attending church and spending time visiting with friends and family.

There will be a funeral service at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery on Thomas Ridge Road in Leon, WV. Evergreen Hills FWB Church Pastor Mark Price will be officiating.
