Dwight R. Greenlee Sr. age 82 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away Tuesday November 7, 2023, while at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV., after a brief illness.

Dwight was born at home in Leon, WV to the late Dwight W. Greenlee and Garnet Levetta Greenlee. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy Lou Greenlee, son Dwight R. Greenlee II and a brother Roger E. Greenlee.
Dwight graduated high school and entered service in the United States Navy where he served proudly until receiving his Honorable discharge in 1969, from there he returned home and began work in the local coal mines until finding his way to The Blue Diamond Coal Company in Leatherwood, Kentucky where he worked as a Weigh-man until he retired.

Dwight was a hardworking family man that loved his family and enjoyed the time he was able to spend with them, he was a proud Navy Veteran and Avid fisherman and outdoorsman.

Surviving he leaves behind his daughter; Ronda Combs of Jeff, KY., sister Mollie Ann Greenlee (Allan Napier) of Leon, WV., his granddaughter and fishing buddy, Cassandra (Timothy) Callahan, 4 great grandchildren; Courtney D. Callahan, Timothy Brevin (Samantha) Callahan, Natalie A. Callahan and Cameron J. Callahan all of Missouri. One great great grandson Lyle Gray Callahan of Missouri. Nephews; Kenton Day, Gregory Day and Forrest Greenlee as well as a host of close neighbors, fishing buddies and special friends.

There will be a graveside service to honor Dwight on Sunday November 12, 2023 at 2:00 at Leon Cemetery in Leon, WV officiated by Pastor Robert Patterson II with full Military Honors.
