Obituary

Edward James Hogg, 86, of Point Pleasant, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 22, 2010, at his home. He was a WWII Veteran in the Army Air Corps and a retired brick mason.

He was born on January 7, 1924, in Kearnstown, son of the late James Edward and Della May (Kearns) Hogg. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Verla (Hogg) Gray; three brothers, Carl "Bud" Hogg, George Gardner and Richard Hogg and a step-brother, Harrison Roger.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Janet (Hammack) Hogg of Point Pleasant; children, Regina Lynn (Hogg) Somerville, James "Jimmy" Edward Hogg, Della May (Hogg) Golden, William Golden, Carl Ray Hogg and Charlotte (Hall) Hogg and Norma Jean (Hogg) King; grandchildren, Joshua Smith and Grace, Nicholas Smith and Sarah, Casey Hogg, Brittany Somerville and Eugene Lilly, Michaela Hogg, Cameron Kimberling, Shawna King and Jasmine Kimberling; one great-grandson, Damon Thompson and a great-granddaughter, Jilliana.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Crow Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery, Point Pleasant, WV, with graveside rites to be conducted by the V.F.W. Stewart-Johnson, Post #9926 of Mason, WV. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
