Edna Arlena (Huffman) Taylor, age 88, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, December 5, 2015, at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Church of God. Arlena was born October 5, 1927, in Ambrosia, a daughter to the late Clarence "Bill" and Alma Ruth (Kauff) Huffman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Franklin Taylor; a sister, Eva Huffman; and brother, Leroy Huffman.

Arlena is survived by her children and their spouses, Yvonne and Carl Swisher, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, Cindy and Mitch Davis, of Atlanta, GA, Sharon Gilkerson, of Clover, SC, Keith and Diane Taylor and Joseph A. Taylor, all of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Bridget and Tony White, Brandon and Vergie Taylor, Aaron Miller, Heather Gilkerson, Dustin and Emily Rice, Jonathan Rice and Andrew Taylor; great-grandchildren, Laurah and Joey Absten, Rebekah Bush, Dane Lail, Cain Lail, Flynn Rice and Olivia Bednar; and her sisters, Louise Trails, of Haines City, FL and Betty Auflick, of Columbus, OH.

Arlena's life will be remembered at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Eddy Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
