Elizabeth "Janie" Swisher, 80, of Point Pleasant, passed into the arms of her Savior, on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House, in Huntington.  She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of God.  She was born October 27, 1941, a daughter to the late John and Laura (Simpkins) Swisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael Swisher, Sheik Swisher, and Chuck Swisher; and sisters, Viola Watson, and Vonnie Mae Dennis.

Janie is survived by her brother, Carl F. "Boxer" (Yvonne) Swisher, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; sister, Karen (Chuck) Lemley, of Pomeroy, OH; many nieces and nephews and extended family, who will all miss her.

There will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with her brother, Rev Carl "Boxer" Swisher and Pastor Bob Patterson officiating.  Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. You may offer condolences to the family via this webpage.
