Obituary

Elmer C Dempsey 76, of Point Pleasant, WV, went to his heavenly home on March 5,2015 at his residence after a long illness. He was born on May 18,1938. He served in The United States Navy and retired from The United States Air Force. Elmer also retired from the AEP Philip Sporn Plant. Elmer was a Life Time Member to The American Legion Post 140, New Haven WV. He also loved to sit on the porch of his home he built and enjoy his land. He is proceeded in death by his brother James Dotson, nephew "Mikey" Dotson, and his mother Birdie Dempsey Thacker. Elmer is survived by his loving children: Kimberly (Charles) Koerner Columbus, Ohio, Sharon-Bostic Dempsey of Gallipolis,Ohio and Timothy (Donna) Dempsey of Beavercreek, Ohio. His loving grandchildren: Amanda (Randy) Simms of Crown City, Ohio , Stevie J Hill of Columbus, Ohio , David Lucas II of Point Pleasant, W.Va. Micheal Huddleston-Lambert of Guyendote, WVa., Megan Huddleston of Point Pleasant, W.Va. and William Staten of Huntington, W.Va. and his loving special friends Harold "Dickie" and Mary Ann Elliot of Point Pleasant. His siblings: Sam, Harold, Donald, Glen, Ocsar, Shirley, Bonnie, Sadie and several nieces, nephews and his loving fur babies Cissy and Buster.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery, with military honors being rendered by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
