Obituary

Elmore A. "Pig" Flowers, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 15, 2009, at the Arbors of Gallipolis, Ohio. He was a retired carpenter who worked for 25 years with Everett Lutton; a member of the Springfield Baptist Church in Bidwell, Ohio and a member of the French City Campers in Gallipolis, Ohio, the Family Campers and Riverside Association of New York.

He was born April 16, 1919 in Point Pleasant, to the late J.A. and Blanche (Gardner) Flowers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. (Moore) Flowers; a brother, Harry "Mopey" M. Flowers and a son, Rody Flowers.

He is survived by one daughter, Patsy Stewart of Point Pleasant; a special relative, Karen Vanco; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; numerous family and a lifelong friend, Martha Bachelor.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with Pastor Robert L. Patterson, II., officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery, Point Pleasant. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 until 7 P.M., Wednesday, June 17, 2009.
