Emogene M. Johnson, 87, of Point Pleasant, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2009, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. Emogene was a loving person who put her family and friends first always. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and especially enjoyed her role in their Charity Knitting Group.
She was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Frost) Williamson. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Voight and a brother, George (Duke) Williamson.
Surviving are a son Rick (Etta Sue) Johnson and a daughter, Connie (Charles) Mullins all of Point Pleasant; a grandson, Don (Joni) Mullins of Clemmons, NC; a granddaughter, Hayley (Ryan) Garnes of South Charleston; great grandchildren, Alyssa Mullins, Zayne Williams and Jalen Garnes; a sister-in-law, Helen Williamson; a special person in her life, Ashley Finnicum; several special nieces and many other loving relatives and friends.
At her request there will be no visitation. Instead a brief graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Richard Dequasie, officiating. At Emogene's request, please omit flowers. Those wishing to honor Emogene's memory may make a contribution to the American Cancer Society.
