Esther Patterson, 81 of Point Pleasant, Wv,went to be with the lord Friday September 9,2012 while at home with her daughter Linda.

Esther was born January 6, 1931 in Point Pleasant Wv, to the late Cyrus and Oma (Taylor) Leport.
Besided her parents Esther is preceeded in death by: Brothers, Marvin Edward, Cyrus Monroe and Chester Monroe Leport, Sisters, Grace Lucille Cook, and Helen Louisa Rice, one twin son at birth and one grandson Jeffery Scott Patterson.

Esther leaves behind a legacy of loving children: Lawerence L. , Jeffery L. , and Steven M. Patterson all of Point Pleasant, Mariea D. "Linda" and Terry McCarthy, Ricky D. Patterson of Point Pleasant Wv, Kimbery A. "Kim" and Larry Myers of Henderson, Norris L. and Bobbi Patterson, of Houston Tx, and Garland L. and Tammy Vansickle of St. Albans Wv.

Also surviving are 24 grandkids, 30 great grandkids, and 2 great great grandkids.

Esther was a beautiful woman with a firey spirit, she enjoyed attending services at The Gospel Lighthouse Church.

She was a very independant woman that worked hard her entire life. She was a longtime cook for the Mason County Jail, and also a maritime cook for Amhurst Barge Co.
Esther was a woman that will be remembered by all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will be Tuesday September 18, 2012 from 6-8 pm with the funeral service Wednesday September 19, 2012 at 11 am. at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home
