Ethel Geraldine Durst Hartley age 97 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away Wednesday January 10, 2024, at the Ravenswood Care Center in Ravenswood, WV.

Ethel was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Point Pleasant, WV.

She was born January 8, 1927, in Mason County, WV and was the daughter of the late James Wilbur Durst and Edna May (Blume) Durst.

In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Vitus Hartley Jr,; daughter and son-in-law Martha Lynn and Michael Randolph; brothers Roy E. Hall, James Wilbur Durst Jr.; William H. Durst and Dallas R. Durst; sisters Ora May (Durst) Hunt and Emma E. (Durst) Kapp; and brother-in-law Henry Hunt.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter and son-in-law Leigh Ann and Randolph Fiery of Chesapeake, VA.; granddaughters Meghan Leigh Randolph and Blake Hartley Fiery Shea; brother Albert (Mary) Durst of Leon, WV; sisters-in-law Geraldine Hall, Patricia Durst, Kathern Durst and Beverly Durst; brother-in-law Robert Kapp and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private graveside service on January 19, 2024 at Creston Cemetery in Leon officiated by Pastor Ronnie Tote.
