July 7, 1931 – September 12, 2023
Evelyn Bernice Bledsoe age 92, of Letart, WV passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus at her home Tuesday, September 12, 2023, of natural causes.
She had a deep love for her physical and spiritual families. Throughout her life she was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother (Nana) and Mentor to so many.
Evelyn was born and raised in Logan County, WV and worked for the Logan Credit Bureau. She married the love of her life, Kenneth in 1955 and moved to Mason County, WV to raise a family, she worked and retired from Mason Co. Unemployment office in 1995.
Evelyn supported her husband Kenneth in pastoring the Church of God of Prophecy for 19 years. They also organized and faithfully served Singing in the Pines for 37 years.
She had a great love for reading, cooking for her family, studying the Word of God and teaching others about the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth, her parents James and Mary Singleton and her brother Jimmy Singleton.
Evelyn is survived by daughters. And sons-in-law Ginny and Steve Cadle of Leon, WV., Linda and Bill Mays of Ashland, KY; son Steven Bledsoe (Missi, Richard) of Gallipolis Ferry, WV., grand-children; Travis, Amanda and Eric (Lily) Cadle; step-grandchildren, David Mays and Alissa (Mays) Connoy; great-grandchild, Madison Cadle; five step great-grandchildren, brothers; Kenneth and David Singleton along with many in-laws; nieces, nephews and family friends.
Evelyns life will be remembered at 1:00 PM Saturday September 16, 2023, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home Officiated by Rev. Jeannie Martin with burial to follow in Sun Rise Memorial Gardens, New Haven, WV.
Visitation will be Friday September 15, 2023, at the funeral home from 6 – 8.
The family has entrusted Crow-Hussell Funeral Home with Evelyn's care.
