Faye (VanSickle)Meadows, 91, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the Holzer Senior Care Center, following a short illness. Faye was born August 9, 1931 "out on the hill" at what is now Chief Cornstock Public Hunting Area, Beech Hill, West Virginia. Faye was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School. Following a short stint working at Murphy's department store, she became a homemaker when she married her husband John W. Meadows in June, 1951. Faye was a member of Heights United Methodist Church for nearly 70 years. She taught Sunday school for over 25 years, sang in the choir, taught vacation bible school, was a youth fellowship leader and served on the administrative board. Faye was an active member of Mason County CEOS club for 55 years.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Thelma VanSickle; her husband of 66 years, Johnny; sisters Ginny Roach, Ruth Burrows, and brother Charles Hayward VanSickle.

Faye is survived by sons Doug (Katrina)Meadows, of Saint Leonard Maryland, John Craig (Niki)Meadows, of Point Pleasant, granddaughter Stacey Meadows (Jonathan Carter) and great-grandchildren Dean and Lily Carter, all of Baltimore MD; and one brother Dan (Ruth Ann) VanSickle of Louisa KY.

There will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2022, at the Heights United Methodist Church, with Rev. Charles Marker and Pastor Bob Patterson officiating.  Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery, Henderson.  Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to: Heights United Methodist Church, 2016 North Main St., Point Pleasant, WV, 25550.
