Florence Evelyn (Machir) Love, 86, of Letart, West Virginia, died Sunday morning, October 26, 2008, at her home. She was a homemaker, owned and operated the Love Farm in Letart, was a member of Heights United Methodist Church and formerly Oak Grove United Methodist Church and was also a member of the D.A.R. and the Mason County Farm Bureau.
She was born, November 4, 1921, in Mason County, West Virginia to the late Harry and Cyrena (Edwards) Machir. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Love; son, Howard Dan Love; sisters and brothers, Frances Dudding and Frank, Clifford, Charles, Faye and Gilbert Machir and her daughter-in-law, Emily Love.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and "Buck" Roush of Letart, West Virginia and one son and daughter-in-law, Harry Michael and Loral Love of Rockford, Illinois; four grandchildren, Hunter Roush and a special friend, Austi Sergent, Gary and Kristen Love, Barry and Kristen Love, and Sarah and Jeff Sherman; six great grandchildren, Julie and Taylor Love, Ian, Isaac and Ellen Love and Emily Grace Sherman.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with Reverend Janice Smith, officiating. Burial will follow in Suncrest Cemetery, Point Pleasant. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at the funeral home.
