Geneva Mae (Patterson) Durst age 86 of Leon, WV went home to be with the Lord August 17, 2022 surrounded by her family.

She was born August 27, 1935 in Jackson, Co. WV. the daughter of the late Edward R. Patterson and Ione (Boyer) Patterson. She graduated from Ravenswood High Scholl in 1954 and then married Orlin Durst her lifelong companion and sweetheart of 63 years. Their son Roger was born in 1960. She was a happy homemaker for 15 years be fore returning to the banking industry (1975 - 1997( where she completed studies in Banking Administration and Certificates from the West Virginia Bankers Association School of Banking. She retired as Vice President and Cashier of Peoples Bank of Point Pleasant. She was a member of the Good Shepard United Methodist Church. She loved cooking, feeding others, playing cards, reading and spending time with family.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years Orlin Durst, 7 brothers, Junior, Otto, Clifford, Holly, Roy Lee, Glen, Charles and one sister Madeline (James Brotherton).

She is survived by her son Roger (Sue) Durst of Norton, Oh., sister Gleneva (Willard) Price, 4 Nephews Jim, Kyle, John Edward, Scott and two nieces Debbie and Michelle. Starting as in-laws, Marilyn Dean, Gary Durst, Nancy Durst and Mike (Portia) Durst along with those preceding her in death Brycle, Albert, Carol and Irma were more like brothers and sisters to her. She loved and cherished each of their children as nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Good Shepard United Methodist Church Flatrock, WV at 1:00 PM on August 27, 2022 with Rev. Don Maxon officiating and Matt Dotson assisting. Private burial will follow at Morgan Cemetery in Leon, WV. Friends and family may visit at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV from 6-8 on Friday August 26, 2022 as well as at the church from 12 until 1.
