Georgie Louvina Smith, age 60, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House, in Huntington, West Virginia. She was born on September 6, 1965 to the late George and Louvina (Patterson) Vaughn.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Stevie Vaughn (infant), Clarence "Pete" Vaughn, and George "Buck" Vaughn; brother-in-law Ronald Plumley; sister-in-laws Rita "Charlie Brown" Vaughn and Mary Vaughn.

She is survived by her children William "BJ" (Samantha) Smith Jr. of Ripley, WV and Heather (Richard) Mayes of Gallipolis Ferry, WV. Grandchildren; William (Wes) Smith III, Shayla Smith, Landyn Smith, Hazleigh Smith, Aubree Smith, Richard (AJ) Mayes Jr., and Raeleigh Mayes. Brother; Harley Vaughn of Patriot, OH, and a sister that she loved to the moon and back Mary "Diane" (Roy) Rutan of Charleston, WV. Sister-in-law Laura (Roush) Vaughn of Ashton, WV.

She had many nieces and nephews who are dear to her heart. She also won over many friends with her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and giving heart. Two friends who held a special place in her heart are Heather Henry and William "Billy" Smith. She also had a very special companion and fur baby "Tilly" who will miss her deeply.

Her family would also like to thank all of her doctors, nurses, and caregivers at St. Mary's I.C.U., Cornerstone Specialty Hospital, Huntington Health and Rehabilitation, and Emogene Dolin Hospice House.

Per Georgie's wishes a cremation has taken place and no service will be held.You may offer condolences to the family via this webpage.
