Gladys Christina Jones' Obituary
Gladys Christina (Gleason) Jones, 85, of Point Pleasant, died Monday, September 13, 2010, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bellemead UMC.
She was born, May 19, 1925, in Point Pleasant, to the late John Lewis and Laura Alice (Jones) Gleason. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter William Jones; her brothers, Charles, Leo, Raymond, Franklin and Paul Gleason and her sisters, Geneva Jones, Jenny Gleason, Garnett Gleason and Mildred Gleason.
She is survived by her two daughters, Christina Elizabeth Ward of Kingman, AZ and Jessie Jones of Point Pleasant; her grandchildren, Sarah Smith and Phillip Ward; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September, 16, 2010, at the Bellemead UMC, with Rev. Jim Lawson, officiating. Burial will follow in Vansickle Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 6 until 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2010. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bellemead UMC.
