Glenda Lee (Plants) Simpkins, 83, of Point Pleasant, passed into the arms of her Savior on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at her daughter's home, in Gallipolis.  She was retired from Hill's Dept. Store and had also worked at Charlie Brown's Drive-In.  She was also a member of the First Church of God.  She was born December 29, 1937, a daughter to the late William "Yikey" and Nellie (Randolph) Plants.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald F. Simpkins; son, William "Sam" Simpkins; son-in-law, Jerry Biland; daughter-in-law, Paula Simpkins; and special friend, Jack Hill.

Glenda is survived by her daughters, Vicky Biland, of Gallipolis and Rhonda Kleynen, of Watauga, TX; son, Rick Simpkins, of Point Pleasant; son-in-law, Terry Tyree, of Point Pleasant; daughter-in-law, Connie Simpkins; grandchildren,  Amber Simpkins, Josh Biland, Sarah Winters, Noah Tyree, Will Simpkins, Brandy Sweeney, Brandon Barkey and Branson Barkey; great-grandchildren, Katie Simpkins, Lexie Brewer, Gage and Gaven Simpkins,  Brayden, Bryson and Braylon Sweeney, Brooklyn, Brittyn, Brystal, Braylea and Brilynn Barkey, and ; great-great-grandchild, Lincoln Brewer; and many extended family and friends, who will all miss her.

There will be a funeral service at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2021, with Rev. Carl "Boxer" Swisher and brother Albert Yester officiating.  Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery, Leon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
