Obituary

Glenn Huber Bruestle of Princeton, NJ died on April 4, 2018 in Myerstown, PA. He was 90.
He was born October 2, 1927 in Point Pleasant, WV, the only child of Frank S. and Natalie A.
Bruestle, where he was graduated by Point Pleasant High School in 1945, immediately before
leaving for the Navy. In the Navy, he was trained as a Radio Technician in Chicago, IL,
Gulfport, MS and Corpus Christi, TX, and was honorably discharged in 1946. Glenn was
graduated from the West Virginia University College of Engineering with honors in 1950 and the
WVU College of Law in 1953. He was chapter president of the Kappa Alpha fraternity from
1951-52.
After law school he moved to the Princeton, NJ area where we worked his entire career in the
RCA Patent and Licensing department, as an attorney, Director of Patents - Electronic
Components, Director of Patents - Planning and Administration, and for GE for a few years after
they acquired RCA.
At RCA he met Mercy Anna Corio. They were married in 1955 and resided 58 years in their
home on Bear Brook Road in Princeton/West Windsor, NJ, before retiring to Stoneridge Village
in Myerstown, PA.
Glenn was a charter member of the Princeton Jaycees and served as treasurer and assistant coach
of the West Windsor Little League. He was very active in the Church of Christ, helping to start
the Princeton congregation and serving as treasurer, music director, adult Bible teacher, and later
as Elder of the Liberty Street Church of Christ in Trenton. He also served as a member of the
President's Board of Advisors of Northeastern Christian Junior College in Villanova, PA.
Glenn was an avid golfer, and a member for many years of the NJ Mercer County Senior
Citizens Golf Association, were he served as Tournament Director.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mercy Anna Corio Bruestle; son John and his wife Cary,
son Frank and his wife Betty, grandchildren Stephen, Corio, Thomas, Gabrielle, Anna, and great-
grandchild, Mercy. His son George predeceased him in 2004. Most of all, Glenn was a devoted
husband and father, and a believing servant of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Viewing and Funeral services will be at the Sand Hill Church of Christ, Point Pleasant, WV,
Saturday, April 7, at 10:00 am. Interment will be in the Loan Oak Cemetery, immediately
following. Arrangements are being handled by the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home.
