Gordon Paul Harlow age 89 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away peacefully on Sunday January 1, 2023 at Abbyshire Place in Bidwell, OH with his family at his side.

Gordon was born in Spencer ,WV on September 1, 1933 to the late Paul and Pauline (Pence) Harlow. Gordon graduated high school and went to further his education at West Virginia University where he graduated with two BA's of Science and Engineering. Once he graduated Gordon found his way to Point Pleasant and a life long career as a Chemical Engineer retiring from AKZO, now ICL.

Besides his parents Gordon is preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Harlow Dunn of Point Pleasant.

When he wasn't working or spending time with his family Gordon was a very dedicated stamp collector he also collected coins and was very serious about his yard work, he loved working and tending to his lawn and was very proud of just how crisp he kept things and anyone that would pass by would attest to his curb appeal. Gordon enjoyed reading his bible and would do so daily keeping notes of his place and his progress he was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and a loyal WVU sports fan! No matter the season Gordon was a true blue Mountaineer.

Surviving he leaves behind the love of his life  and wife of 65 years, Jackie (Mayes) Harlow, their children; Paul Michael Harlow (Debbie Hickel), Angela Sue Harlow and Debra Jean (Henry) Gittleman. Grandchildren; Laura (Ed) Dill, Natalie (Mike) Breedlove, Stephen (Joy) Dunn, Eric Gittleman and Joshua Gittleman, 5 great-grandchildren and 6 great great granddaughters, one brother; Richard Harlow of Spencer, WV., a special niece Kim Harlow and son-in-law Gary Dunn along with a host of extended family and friends that will all deeply miss him.

Services for Gordon will be at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home 1701 Jefferson Blvd. Point Pleasant, WV 25550 on Wednesday January 4, 2023 with visitation from 12-2 and funeral officiated by Pastor Robert Patterson II beginning at 2:00. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens.
