Granville A. "Poppy" Hobbs, age 76 of Point Pleasant, WV passed away Thursday January 17, 2019 at Abbyshire Place Nursing Home, in Bidwell, Oh.

Poppy was a private person who loved attending church at the First Church of God, in Point Pleasant, where he spent time with his church family.  He was the longtime companion of Ruth Frances McCoy, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his "adopted" daughter and caregiver, Brenda Harden, of Point Pleasant and her family.

In keeping with Poppy's wishes, no public services are planned at this time, and private cremation will be observed. Friends and family may express condolences via this webpage
