Harry Clay "Moke" Simpkins, 72, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at CAMC Memorial, in Charleston.  He was a retired river boat captain, with Marathon Oil and was a member of the First Church of God.  He was born March 16, 1948, in Mason County, WV, a son of the late Carl and Zelda (Crump) Simpkins.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Brian Hoffman; brother, Sonny Simpkins; and in-laws, Betty Jo Simpkins, Harold Stewart and Larry Roach; and his loyal companion, John Henry.

Moke is survived by his wife, Pam (Smith) Simpkins, son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Kim Simpkins, of Scott Depot; daughter, Gerri Hoffman, of McFarland, WI; grandchildren, Andrew (Laura) Hoffman, of Stoughton, WI, Michael (Abigail) Hoffman, of Watertown, WI, and Lela Simpkins, of Scott Depot; great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Nathan and Anna; brothers, Bill, Richard and Tom; sisters, Elizabeth, Carolyn, Tammy and Debbie; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend and loyal companion, Sonny.

There will be a memorial service at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2020, at the First Church of God Ministry Center, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating.  The family will receive guests from 1:00 p.m. until the service time.  Please observe the CDC guidelines of maintaining social distancing and face-coverings.  There will be a gathering of family and friends at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, at Krodel Park that all are invited to visit and share memories.
